Whether you participate in Halloween festivities or not, I see this time as a reminder to play, pretend and have fun.
Recently when purchasing my daughter’s costume, the woman at the checkout counter asked me what I was going to be for Halloween. I loved that she assumed I would dress up. We proceeded to have a light-hearted conversation about costumes and the fun that occurs during this time of year.
I left the store smiling about our interaction as it was much more connected than a typical cashier exchange. She invited the connection, and I responded with joy.
On the same day, I ran into a friend who detailed the costume party she organizes at her office. We laughed at the intricacies that are involved and how adults just want to play too.
Let fun connect you with your children, colleagues and those around you. Continue to resonate with what links us together rather than what appears to separate.
I love you all,
Kristen
