3 Questions to Ask Yourself to See if You’re Really Ready for Change

We are not going to experience the changes we most desire unless we are completely ready. You don’t have to hit rock bottom in order to be ready. (And, I have many times. That’s okay too.)

There are three very specific questions I ask my clients to gauge their readiness to shift their experience.

On a scale of 1 – 10,

  1. How ready are you for a new story?
  2. How possible do you believe it is to receive what you most deeply desire?
  3. How willing are you to do the work?

When your answer to all three questions is a 10, you are ready and have a wonderful awakening ahead of you.

If you aren’t answering with 10’s, try to identify the limiting belief or fear that is blocking you from knowing you deserve the gifts that are available to you.

Is a new story scary because you don’t know what to expect?

Deep down do you feel unworthy of having what you most deeply desire?

Is it difficult to believe that a big shift is possible because you have tried so many approaches in the past that haven’t made a difference?

Keep doing your inner work until you are free from these limiting beliefs.

Anytime a client answers with 10’s on all three questions, I know something big is about to happen. We typically experience the size shift equal to the degree we believe one is possible. And, remember this work can be applied to all areas of life—health, career, finances, relationships and even pets.

Here is an example of a shift that occurred for a client who was ready for a new story, believed it is possible to receive what she most deeply desired and was willing to do the work. Needless to say, she answered all three questions with tens.

Lucy took a few classes and had one individual session during which we delved deeply into the root causes underneath her long term health issues.  She filled up her tool box with various techniques and concepts from the classes and session and was on her way.

About a week later I received an email from Lucy. After a great deal of medical testing, she wrote:

So I have Lyme disease. Apparently.

It’s all connected to my other diagnoses and symptoms i.e. parasites, clinical depression, weight gain etc…Blood work shows it is creating autoimmune problems.

Whatever.

I’m not having Lyme or anything else. I am not sick.”

She proceeded to ask a multitude of questions about the work that we have done in classes and individual sessions. She specifically wanted to know how to incorporate the processes into her busy life with three kids under the age of five.

I responded to the email answering each question.  She sent little updates, here and there, but I had no idea what to expect at her next session.

Lucy almost ran into my office at our next visit. She had healed herself physically through meditation and diligently practicing the work we discussed. Her bloating was gone. Her energy was back. She looked vibrant and healthy and was glowing with Life! Lucy was empowered and on fire!

Following this huge awakening, Lucy said she received results from follow-up testing completed by an infectious disease doctor that the Lyme disease test result was a false positive. Of course it was.

I asked her why she felt she was able to heal these long standing symptoms. She said, “Because I believed it was possible.”
